Formal surgical oncology fellowships are completed after 2-3 years of additional training. Two years are devoted soley to the clinical management of cancer patients and an additional year can be spent in research.
I finished a three year fellowship at Roswell-Park Memorial
Institute in Buffalo, New York- the first cancer hospital
in the United States Of America; a research year was completed
in tumor immunology (1986-1988).
I published on the production of bifunctional
monoclonal antibodies for use in targeting malignant tumors.
My general surgery residency was at Howard University Hospital after graduating from Indiana Medical School.

I currently am in private practice
specializing in surgical oncology.
